Our solution
A steel box-truss span was fabricated and fully fitted out — lighting, perforated shade screen and all — beside the road, then lifted into place by two cranes in a six-hour window.

The result
The road reopened ninety minutes ahead of schedule; the bridge now carries more than 1,500 pedestrians a day.
