About Rawsam
We draw the line between vision and what can be built — and then we build across it.
Rawsam Engineering & Consulting Bureau was founded in Kuwait City in 2009 by a small group of architects and structural engineers who were tired of seeing good designs diluted by poor coordination.
01 Our story
The name comes from the Arabic rawasim — the marks and imprints left by a drawing instrument. It is a reminder that every building starts as a line someone chose to draw with care.
We began with four people and a single residential commission. Seventeen years later we are sixty-four architects, engineers and project managers, and our work spans private homes, commercial towers, logistics facilities, infrastructure and city districts.
What has not changed is the way we work: every discipline at the same table from day one, one coordinated model, and engineers who stay with a project until it stands.
02 Philosophy
Good architecture is an argument that has been settled. Form, structure, climate, cost and use all pull in different directions; our job is to resolve them into something that looks inevitable. We believe that resolution happens best when designers and engineers argue early, openly and in the same room.
Mission
To deliver integrated architecture and engineering that is buildable, efficient and enduring — coordinated precisely, communicated clearly and supervised through to completion.

Khaled founded Rawsam in 2009 after a decade designing towers in London and Dubai. He leads the design studio and personally reviews every project at each stage gate.

Eng. Noura Al-Hamad
Partner, Director of Structural Engineering
M.Sc Structural Engineering, PE
Noura has engineered structures from villa foundations to a 240-metre cable-stayed span. She specialises in post-tensioned and long-span systems and in durability for coastal sites.

Eng. Tariq Haddad
Head of MEP Engineering
B.Sc Mechanical Engineering, LEED AP BD+C
Tariq built Rawsam’s MEP department in 2015. His teams design cooling, power and life-safety systems for everything from clinics to cold stores.

Lina leads residential, workplace and hospitality interiors. She is known for calm material palettes and for joinery details that contractors actually enjoy building.

Omar has supervised more than ninety projects to completion. He runs our site teams, tender process and the weekly reporting every client receives.

A 22-storey residential tower in Salmiya — our first full architecture-and-structure commission above 70 metres.

MEP department
Mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering brought in-house to close the last coordination gap.

BIM-first practice
Every project from this year onward is designed and coordinated in a single federated model.

Infrastructure & urban
